Jennifer moved to Baltimore in 2013 to serve Dickey Memorial. Very quickly she fell in love - with the church, with the city, and with her wife, Lauren (they were set up by wonderful and wise church elders). Jennifer and Lauren's son Jonathan was born in December 2018.
Jennifer never expected to be a pastor - or to serve in a city. She studied international relations at Stanford University with the expectation that she'd work as an intelligence analyst. But after graduating things changed. After a life-changing internship in youth ministry, Jennifer attended Princeton Theological Seminary. She spent a year serving a congregation in Northern Ireland in between her second and third year of classes. When she returned, she had a seminar on community organizing and knew she was called to serve in a city.
Jennifer is a writer who also enjoys creating art, learning how to do new tricks on the aerial hoop and silks, improv, the snow, and hiking with her wife and their two dogs, Cinnamon and Vashti.
